- 5.0 out of 5 stars from G Osborne -- Just pitched right : Machine Learing For Absolute Beginners is a book for computing/math/programming literate-but-not-expert readers and it works well. It is not an executive summary of the application of ML but instead it reaches down into the key techniques and explains them very clearly. This is a good first book on ML that will provide a good springboard onto other books which are more programming intense (such as the ones on Python or R that typically have a picture of a bird on the cover - you know what I mean).
